Meet Isa and Daniel

Isabel and Daniel are seasoned food professionals whose shared passion for cuisine brought them together. Daniel began his career working with Francis Mallmann, South America’s renowned chef and master of fire and meat, traveling and cooking across Brazil and the United States while becoming an expert in meats and grilling techniques. Isabel is a professional sommelier with a deep love for wine. They met at a catering event—Daniel as lead chef, Isabel as event coordinator—and later opened a restaurant in San Isidro, an upscale Buenos Aires neighborhood, along with their own catering company. As hosts, they love connecting with guests, sharing their culinary expertise, and creating culturally enriching experiences through food, wine, and hospitality.

What to expect

Please note menu might vary. If there are particular dishes you are interested in trying, please include your request in the booking form.

In-home meal: (1-10 guests) Option 1: Fire & Smoke Asado - As a Francis Mallmann apprentice, Daniel brings the art of fire and smoke to the grill, creating a gourmet-style asado experience. Start with small bites like provoleta (spiced melted cheese on the grill) served on bruschetta, and classic mini choripán with homemade bread and chimichurri. Next, enjoy a selection of traditional achuras, including mollejas (sweetbreads) and kidneys with homemade criolla and provenzal sauces. For the main course, choose from premium Argentine cuts: tira de asado, entraña, bife de chorizo, or vacio.

Option 2: Argentine with a Twist - For guests seeking bold, unexpected flavors, Daniel and Isa offer “Argentine with a Twist,” combining classic Argentine dishes with influences from across South America. Begin with creative small bites such as ossobuco croquettes with panko (a Peruvian-inspired appetizer) and mini provoletas with tomato pesto and arugula. The main course features slow-cooked beef tenderloin wrapped in bacon, served with accordion-style potatoes and roasted cherry tomatoes — a sophisticated twist on traditional Argentine cuisine.

Guests should indicate their preferred option when booking. Meals can be enjoyed at Daniel and Isa’s inviting dining table or outdoors, depending on the weather and your preference, offering a true taste of Argentine hospitality and cuisine.

Cooking experience: (1-10 guests) Step into Isa and Daniel’s home for a hands-on Buenos Aires cooking class and immerse yourself in authentic Argentine cuisine. Cook an appetizer and starters alongside Daniel, a seasoned chef and Francis Mallmann apprentice. During this one-hour class, you’ll learn to light the barbecue, season the meat, and slow-cook it to perfection, mastering the techniques of a true Argentine asado. If you choose the second option, Daniel will guide you in creating inventive dishes that blend traditional flavors from across Latin America, such as ossobuco croquettes or mini provoletas with pesto.

Notes:
If you choose the optional alcohol add-on, Isa will guide you through a wine pairing lesson, sharing insights on wines from different regions of Argentina and explaining why each complements your food.
The lunch experience is only provided on weekends as Isa and Daniel work during weekdays.
