She delights in preparing fresh, healthy meals using locally grown vegetables and ingredients. Srividya enjoys the balance of a complete meal that has variety in terms of flavors, nutrition, pace, texture, and digestion. You will sense her pride as she shares interesting anecdotes and stories that highlight the traditions and science behind the foods you will cook together. Srividya is a vegetarian, and together you'll will cook three South Indian dishes such as coconut rice, a mildly spiced rice dish cooked with coconut, vegetable stew, a combination of vegetables cooked in a flavorful coconut gravy and potato varuval, spiced potato stir fry.

  • 4 green chilies
  • 1 cup grated coconut (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 3 large florets of cauliflower
  • 1 carrot
  • 4 green beans
  • 1 potato
  • 1 drumstick (optional)
  • 1 small onion
  • 1-inch ginger piece, finely chopped
  • 3-4 black peppercorns, crushed
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 2 dry red chilies
  • 2 cups sweet potatoes or regular potatoes
  • 1/8 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  • Salt to taste
