Your French host Andrea loves to cook and bake - her kitchen is always open and pretty much her favorite place to be! Andrea moved to the USA from France, where she had lived for 25 years. Her family and friends all over the world have definitely influenced her culinary skills, but Andrea is especially inspired by her son - a formally trained French chef. Andrea and her son experiment vicariously through one another's cooking experiences. During this online class, learn to make a decadent molten chocolate cake the French way! Learn about why the ingredients react the way they do and how to present it attractively on the plate in addition to sharing stories about French and American life and culture. Andrea recently moved to Southern California and her dream is to share her knowledge of delicious French inspired cuisine with travelers!

  • 7 oz (200 g) good quality dark chocolate bar or chips for baking
  • 8 tbsp (1 stick) salted butter, divided
  • 1/2 cup (100 g) sugar
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Dusting of confectioner’s sugar
  • Optional: berries, mint sprig, vanilla ice cream or whipped cream
