Daniela’s love for cooking comes from her father's side of the family, who are very passionate about food and cooking. Later she studied gastronomy at university and owns her own bakery now. She also conducts cooking classes for kids. Apart from food and cooking she enjoys going to the cinema, traveling, and learning about new cultures and cuisines. Daniela is very excited to share her rich Colombian gastronomy and its delicious flavors with travelers.

Daniela and her mother have an amazing personality - very bubbly and welcoming and were happy to answer all our questions about the food, where it was from and the history of Medellin and Colombia. They were great company! The food was great and they live in a very nice, clean and welcoming home. We cooked some fried plantain, which was the best I've ever had!

We had an awesome experience! Daniela helped us make traditional ajiaco soup, arepas and tres leches cake. All of it was delicious!! We were invited into her home and spent the evening cooking and talking with Daniela and her mom Beatriz. They were both lovely and gave us some great recommendations for other things to do in Medellin as well! Highly recommend!- Stephan December 04, 2025
We had an amazing day with Tábata during our cooking class and market tour! This was our first day in Medellin, and she and her mother were wonderful hosts. They took us around the market and showed us where they shop — I even got to purchase some spices and equipment to take home for my own cooking. She bought and array of fruits native to Colombia so we could try them for the fir at time. During the cooking demo, she showed us how to do everything by hand and even gave us some history of Colombia and the recipes we were making. We recommend this class to all of our friends and anyone who visits Medellin!- Gaby November 30, 2025
I really enjoyed this experience as an introduction to Colombian culture. I learned about the Colombian philosophy of “nothing goes to waste”, which we saw evidence of in the market, and which I want to start implementing in my life. Daniela and her mom were wonderful hosts and the home-cooked meal warmed me straight to the heart. We even got to try some local fruits. As a bonus, I learned a lot of Spanish words. Highly recommend this class!- Farah November 21, 2025
this is my second time having a local food experience with Daniela. She is so knowledgeable and friendly and takes the time to make sure your eating experience is outstanding. We have visited the market for local fruits, had lunch at her home and I walked the farmers market on a Sunday. I highly recommend one her food inspired experiences for anyone who truly wants to taste local Colombian food.- Anthony October 19, 2025
