Meet Rosanna and Antonio (Personal Chef)

Rosanna and her brother Antonio come from a family that has farmed on the Amalfi Coast for four generations. Today, Rosanna works as a personal chef alongside her husband, Pasquale, bringing the flavors of their family farm directly into guests’ homes and vacation rentals. Using organic ingredients grown on their land, they prepare traditional Southern Italian dishes such as handmade pasta, pizza, fresh mozzarella, and local wines. Their experiences offer an authentic, in-home taste of Amalfi Coast cuisine, rooted in family tradition and shared with genuine hospitality.

What to expect

Please note menu might vary. If there are particular dishes you are interested in trying, please include your request in the booking form.

In-home meal: (8-15 guests) Enjoy an authentic private chef experience in Sorrento, featuring a customized, multi-course Italian dinner prepared in your home or vacation rental. Your personal chef will create a seasonal menu inspired by traditional Southern Italian cuisine, using high-quality local ingredients. The private dinner includes an antipasto, primo, secondo, and dessert, thoughtfully paired with bottles of local wine produced on the host’s family farm (optional add-on). Your evening concludes with house-made limoncello, crafted at the farmhouse and served as a traditional digestif. This experience is fully personalized. Please share any dietary restrictions, food allergies, or menu requests at the time of booking, and confirm your final menu at least one week in advance. On the day of your dinner, relax and enjoy — your chef will take care of the cooking, service, and cleanup for a seamless, memorable evening.

Notes: Unlike most Traveling Spoon experiences, this experience takes place in your house or vacation rental, not at the host's. Your hosts are happy to accommodate vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free meals on request. Please include any dietary restrictions when booking. A 14-day cancellation policy applies instead of the standard 48-hour policy. To receive a full refund (minus a payment processing fee), cancellations must be made at least 14 days before the experience.

PERSONALLY VETTED REVIEW
A Traveling Spoon ambassador visited this host. Here is their personal review.

Antonio received us and showed us the neighborhood. He walked us to see a very nice view of a cliff. Then we came back to the house and he introduced his family. His sister Rosanna was the one in charge of the pasta making class. Antonio was also involved in this part because he’s the one who speaks English better. The pasta class was very fun and we were really proud of what we accomplished. We felt really at home meeting the entire family and chatting while the food was being prepared. While we were waiting for the pasta, we had the chance to taste the amazing cold meats they make in the farm and also we were invited to try the wines the host makes. The food was amazing! Everything was really fresh and you could tell that all the veggies were grown at home! Definitely recommend.

My fiancé and I were visiting the region and really wanted to do a cooking class. However she is gluten free (severe allergy). Rosanna and Pasquale were incredible hosts and took care of everything. She made GF pasta and I made glutenous, constantly cleaning the prep area and washing their hands. The food came out great and we shared a bottle of their homegrown organic wine (amazing). 10/10 and would totally recommend this experience to anyone, regardless of dietary restriction.

Rosanna and Pasquale were truly amazing to work with! From the quick and easy communication upfront, to advising us on how to get there (which was not easy or inexpensive, but so worth it), to the experience itself. When we arrived, Pasquale sat in the garden with us with wine they had made in their own cellar. Everything on this property was homemade, natural, and filled with love. We have dietary restrictions which is why we booked with them and we were able to enjoy everything they had to offer - very accommodating to our needs. This was the highlight of our trip to Italy and I would highly recommend booking with them. If you are looking for a good time, authentic stories, and fresh, homemade food - this is the class for you :)

Pasquale is the star of the show! He greeted us with coffee or elder blossom water. Mmm. Then he told us about his organic farm producing wine, cheese, olive oil, limoncello. He and his wife Rosanna also let rooms! Their farm is very close to the most grandiose views over the Amalfi Coast. We all had a very hands on experience to make gnocchi and scialatielli, a local pasta version. So fun to make it. While we made pasta Rosanna made farmer sauce out of tomato, eggplant and olives. There was tiramisu made table side by Pasquale for dessert. So delicious!
