Paola is a lawyer by profession, but her true passion is in cooking and meeting people from around the world. Since 2017, she has been warmly welcoming guests into her charming 1920s villa in Bologna, sharing authentic Italian cuisine and heartfelt hospitality. Paola learned to cook from her grandmother, an exceptional home chef who passed down cherished family recipes from both Mantova, where she was born, and Bologna, where she now lives. Today, Paola lovingly recreates these traditional dishes, keeping the flavors of her family recipes alive. In addition to regional Italian classics, Paola enjoys experimenting with recipes from across Italy and beyond, offering a delicious variety of dishes in her cooking classes and home-cooked meals. This in-home dining experience is set just five minutes from Bologna’s city walls, and is the perfect place to experience real Italian hospitality and cuisine.

We had fantastic time cooking and eating in Paula's garden oasis. Paula was welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable about anything food-related in Bologna. It was one of the best meals of our two-week trip. We also very much enjoyed touring the Quadrilatero market area with Paula.- anthony September 01, 2026
What a wonderful experience! From the moment we met Paola at the Bologna market, we loved her warm and passionate approach. She took the time to introduce us to local products and explain, among other things, the differences between Parmigiano Reggiano cheeses depending on their age, the various pasta shapes, and the fruits and vegetables of the region. It was immediately clear that she loves sharing her culture and traditions. We then went to her home to get down to business: making our own fresh pasta! We were quite surprised to learn that it only required two ingredients… We suddenly felt a bit lazy for always buying our pasta ready-made! 😂 We also made our own tiramisu, and once again, Paola showed us that with the right techniques, it's not actually that complicated. We left wanting to make both at home! After cooking, it was time for the best part: tasting! 😍 Paola had prepared a delicious appetizer for us with mortadella, olives, homemade focaccia, and homemade chive cheese, accompanied by an excellent local sparkling white wine. We then ate the pasta we had made ourselves, served with her delicious ragù—what we Quebecers would call our "spaghetti sauce" 😉—and finished the meal with the tiramisu we had prepared. And all this in her beautiful little outdoor courtyard, in a friendly and authentically Italian atmosphere. 🇮🇹❤️ It wasn't just a cooking class, but a true immersion in Bolognese life and cuisine. It's definitely one of our wonderful memories of Bologna and an experience we will gladly repeat on a future visit. And a big bonus for my husband: Paola speaks French! 👌🏼🇫🇷 Thank you Paola for your warm welcome, your generosity, and this wonderful time. An experience we highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐- caroline August 28, 2026

Very lovely experience! Paola was an amazing guide and teacher. She was very welcoming and kind. Her knowledge about Bologna is unmatched. Her recipes are truly one of a kind. Can’t wait to try them when we get back home!- joseph June 27, 2026
We are a family of 4, two adults and 2 kids and we had a wonderful experience with Paola. It was so nice to spend time with a local host in a genuine local experience (as opposed to generic tourist trap experience). Our meal was lovely and Paola's home is beautiful (a 30 min walk from the market for tour meeting spot or a shorter bus ride). 12 days in Italy and Paola's cooking experience has been their #1 favorite!- laura June 24, 2026
