Ann was born and raised in Dublin and brings more than 40 years of experience in food and hospitality to her Irish cooking classes. She spent over 20 years living abroad, working in the catering and hospitality industries across England, Germany, Switzerland, and the Canary Islands, before returning home to Ireland in 2018. Back in Dublin, Ann began leading history and food tours and soon combined her love for food, culture, and teaching by welcoming travelers into her home for an authentic Irish cooking class. In her kitchen, guests learn to prepare traditional Irish dishes while enjoying a warm and welcoming atmosphere that reflects true Irish hospitality. When she isn’t hosting her Dublin cooking experiences, Ann loves to travel and read. She is also studying the Irish language and taking a course on the history of Irish food, ensuring her classes are as enriching and authentic as possible.

Ann Tomlin was amazing! She was so kind and informational, and the food she helped us create was the best food we’ve eaten in Ireland! We learned so much and really enjoyed the group atmosphere of having the other people there. I would highly recommend Ann to anyone looking for a great memory in Ireland, along with outstanding food and Irish coffee!- sara March 31, 2026
