I have met several Traveling Spoon hosts now, and my conversation with Annette and Jose was among my best. Even though Jose and I did not speak the same language, Annette was incredibly attentive to translating – her skills as an English teacher in Sevilla are very apparent. It was fascinating to hear her and Jose’s perspectives on Sevilla and Spain overall. Jose was awesome, an opinionated and proud Spaniard. I learned so much and will always remember my incredible conversations and experience with these two!

My wife and I had a wonderful experience where once we left we felt like José was our best friend. He gave us all kinds of history, shared family stories, and taught us all kinds of chef tricks to cook the most perfect paella. We cannot wait to get home and try his recipes he gave us. I highly recommend this intimate experience in his very clean and comfortable home which was a short walk from the city center.

Best cooking class in Barcelona! Fantastic! The experience of going through a local market, meeting the artisans, and snacking on delicious bites was great. We learned about the local culture a well as recommendations for other places to visit while in Barcelona. Stefano and Veronique were gracious hosts. The class was well laid out and very hands on, which was amazing. Couldn't have had a better time! We hope all cooking experiences can be like this one!

Suzie was all kinds of fun! She is used to offering food tours so had lots of information about local food and local food culture! If I make it to Valencia, I will look her up!

Our cooking class with Lola was amazing! She taught us so much about cooking as well as Spanish culture and we made delicious food! It was such an enjoyable evening for our family. Lots of wine was flowing and it was just a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere! Would highly recommend this class!

Best meal of our trip! Our market tour & paella cooking class with Josh was one of the highlights of our time in Barcelona. Josh did a wonderful job teaching us how to make authentic paella. Oh, and the sangria was the best I’ve had!
